The Message from The Body: Listen to your Body's Whisper

For years, I struggled with inflammations—but strangely, most of them only on my left side. My shoulder, wrist, neck, ankle … it felt as if my body was trying to tell me something, but I had no idea what. Of course, I first looked at physical causes. Maybe it was bad posture? Maybe it was just coincidence? But the longer it persisted, the more I felt there was something deeper going on.

I’ve always been sensitive to the signals of my body. As a massage therapist and healer, I know that physical issues often have a deeper layer. So I started researching: why specifically the left side?

Feminine Energy and Receiving

In many spiritual traditions, the left side of the body is associated with feminine energy, receiving, intuition, and emotions. While the right side represents action and the masculine principle, the left side is about softness, feeling, and letting go.

When I read this, it felt like a puzzle piece falling into place. My whole life, I had learned to be strong, to push through, and not to rely too much on others. Receiving or asking for help? That was difficult for me. Giving my emotions space? Only when I had no other choice. My body seemed to be forcing me to pause and acknowledge what I had been suppressing.

The Shadow of Old Patterns

I started reflecting on my childhood, my relationships, and the way I constantly put pressure on myself. The inflammations weren’t just a physical issue; they were a message. My body was calling for attention. It was asking me not only to give but also to receive. Not just to be strong, but also to be vulnerable.

I realized that old emotions were trapped inside me—pain I hadn’t fully processed yet, situations where I had put myself last. My left side was holding onto all these repressed feelings I hadn’t dared to face.

The Path to Healing

When I understood this, I began to listen to my body in a different way. Instead of fighting the pain and inflammations, I asked myself: What is my body trying to tell me?

I worked with energy healing, meditation, massage and gentle movement. But most importantly, I learned to truly feel—to allow my emotions without judgment.

Slowly but surely, the symptoms started to fade. Not because I was fighting the inflammations, but because I understood the deeper message. I gave myself permission to let go, to be softer, to receive.

Listening to Your Body’s Whispers

What I’ve learned from this is that our body is always communicating with us. Sometimes it whispers, sometimes it screams for attention. My inflammations weren’t an enemy but a guide—an invitation to take better care of myself, not just physically, but also emotionally and energetically.

Do you have recurring physical issues? Maybe there’s a deeper message hidden beneath them. What is your body trying to tell you? ❤️
